Hey folks! Today’s email to all also addresses the parasite topic. Please make sure you read - and stay calm :)
Just found this article tonight! Did you know that our Golden Turmeric (which is on sale in loyalty orders this month!) is nano curcumin? ❤️❤️
🚨 Nano-Curcumin Achieves 97.2% Reduction in Cyclospora Parasite Load in Landmark Study
Health officials are tracking a significant rise in Cyclospora infections across the United States, with 843 cases reported in 31 states and dozens of hospitalizations so far.
This microscopic parasite, often linked to contaminated produce, triggers weeks of intense watery diarrhea, severe stomach cramps, nausea, fatigue, and unwanted weight loss.
While the standard prescription treatment remains the antibiotic Bactrim, a new study in mice suggests a simpler natural option: nano-curcumin, an enhanced form of the active compound found in turmeric.
In the research, infected mice received just seven daily doses of nano-curcumin, and the results stood out.
Parasite levels in their stool fell by 97.2%, even two weeks after treatment ended, with no detectable living parasites remaining in the intestinal tissue and no signs of relapse.
The damaged gut lining also showed strong recovery, featuring healthier tissue and noticeably reduced inflammation.
For comparison, regular turmeric curcumin achieved a solid 93.5% reduction, and both forms visibly damaged the parasite’s outer shell, though the nano version delivered the strongest overall performance thanks to its tiny particles that improve absorption in the gut.
This is an animal study, so human trials are still needed.
Even so, curcumin has a long record of safe use and may offer a valuable natural tool in the future.
As investigations into the outbreaks continue, this research brings encouraging insight into nature’s role in combating infections.
In the meantime, supporting your local small farmers makes excellent sense because their fresh produce is generally not affected by this issue.
Now more than ever, shifting toward local food sources strengthens community resilience and reduces reliance on vulnerable industrial supply chains.
