Let’s talk about what really happens to muscle mass during a deload or extended break from the gym.
1️⃣ Muscle does not turn to fat just as you can’t turn fat into muscle.
2️⃣ Two- four weeks is not enough time to lose any measurable muscle mass. You may feel a little weak but you’ll find that you bounce right back when you get back on routine.
3️⃣ Breaks are needed to allow your body and muscles to fully rebuild and heal after an intensive training period.
4️⃣ Fitness is a marathon not a sprint it’s ok to take break. Ditch the all or nothing mentality and take care of YOU in the process.
