Today I participated in the Las Vegas Shimmy Mob performance in honor of World Belly Dance Day and in support of survivors of domestic violence. đź’ś

Shimmy Mob is a worldwide movement that uses dance to raise awareness, foster community, and support organizations serving those impacted by abuse. Here in Las Vegas, our team proudly supports SafeNest, a local shelter and resource center for survivors of domestic violence.

Dance has always been more than performance to me. It can be connection, empowerment, expression, healing, and collective action. Being able to use dance and movement for a cause that matters deeply was truly special.

It’s a therapeutic process that uses movement to support emotional expression, connection, and self-awareness.

No dance experience is needed, and there’s no “right” way to move.

Just space to listen to your body and move in a way that feels supportive to you.
