Yesterday, I was so proud to once again represent the more than 6 million microentrepreneurs in direct sales on Capitol Hill for Direct Selling Day. I've had my business for ten years and I love what I do!
Yesterday was the first time we've ever had rain, but we didn't let that stop us! My team of Jeri, Becky, and I had a record-breaking six meetings, where we:
💋Shared our stories,
💋Emphasized the importance of retaining our status as independent contractors,
💋Discussed the significant economic impact of direct sales on both business owners and the customers who love their products, AND
💋Highlighted the elevated customer service experiences that come with our products.
Direct Selling accounted for $36.7 BILLION in sales in 2023 to 30.8 MILLION preferred customers and 6.9 MILLION more people who sign up for the discount. That's AMAZING!!!
Our businesses have significant economic impact not only on the lives of the people who own them, but on the communities that they live in. They provide the quickest avenue to entrepreneurship, regardless of their business or educational background or experience.
I can't imagine my life without my business or the incredible friendships that I have gained that started with a single lip color or shadow. So being able to share my passion for this industry with policymakers and advocates alongside these fabulous ladies is one of my biggest joys!!!
