Welcome to Trinity Integrative Bodywork! I use a combination of gentle approaches including Ortho-Bionomy®, fascial techniques, and energy work to help the body release tension and find balance; I also offer PEMF sessions as a stand-alone service or in addition to bodywork. I work with all bodies: people, horses, other livestock, and small animals. Below are answers to some of my most frequently asked questions. If you don't see what you're looking for or still need more information, please do not hesitate to reach out! ✨
❔What does a human session usually look like?
I will start by taking a detailed history and gathering information about your current medical oversight, past injuries, current issues or complaints, and your goals. You will be fully clothed the whole time, so I recommend wearing comfortable clothing that can bend easily at major joints (i.e. a T-shirt and gym shorts or leggings). You will most often be laying on a massage table, although sometimes we may work sitting or standing as warranted. Sessions take 60-75 minutes and I recommend not scheduling any marathons or soccer matches for the following day 😉.
❔What does an equine session usually look like?
I will start by taking a detailed history and gathering information about the animal's past medical history, current issues or complaints, other professionals on the team, and your goals. Equine sessions take approximately 90 minutes, and they will need the rest of that day plus the following day off of work.
*Small animal sessions are similar but are often closer to 45 minutes.
❔What is PEMF?
Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field sessions utilize a machine that emits electromagnetic energy. This energy field mimics that of the earth's crust and of all living creatures on earth (similar to why "touching grass" feels grounding). Whole body PEMF sessions may support the body's natural healing processes and promote relaxation and general wellness. Targeted sessions, such as over an injury, may help to improve healing times and relieve pain. There are no work restrictions following a PEMF session.
❔Why should I do both bodywork and PEMF?
My bodywork sessions help your nervous system release tension, self-correct, and rebalance in order to improve ranges of motion, relieve chronic pain, and help regulate the nervous system. This allows for cumulative, permanent changes within the body with each session. Meanwhile, PEMF helps to provide short-term support to the body. They work beautifully together to help give the body a boost while allowing the nervous system the time and space it needs to heal.
❔What is your regular service area?
I am based in Lenoir City, TN, and regularly service an approximately-75-mile (hour and a half) radius. I also regularly travel routes in Middle TN and Northern GA and will gladly look into other locations. I am only licensed for massage therapy in TN, so I am only available for PEMF and animal bodywork in other states.
❔Can I come to you?
Currently, I am only able to provide services at your facility. For animals, this reduces travel stress (on mind and body) and ensures they can comfortably go about their normal routine at the end of the session. It is best if we have a quiet, out-of-the way place to work where the animal is comfortable such as a stall, round pen, or quiet barn aisle.
For people, we will need a space approximately 6' x 8' to set up the table (this is often a living room with the coffee table moved, tack room, barn aisle, or in the yard under a shady tree). Any pets that aren't currently being worked with must be kept out of the area during the session. I cannot provide services in smoking homes.
❔How much do sessions cost?
See the price sheet below! I can accept cash, check, and Venmo for payments. Please contact me directly for an Out of Area price sheet, 501(c)3 info, or if you believe I may be able to help you or your animal but these prices aren't currently accessible to you.
❔ How do I schedule a session?
You can get in touch with me via a message here on Facebook, texting or calling the number listed at the top of this page, or via email at Trinity.Elysia(at)Gmail.com. For the Greater Knoxville Area I am happy to see what availability I have coming up soonest (usually about 4-6 weeks out). For other areas, I can let you know my next scheduled dates for your route or put you on the contact list for my next trip.
❔I messaged you a few days ago and haven't heard back. How long should I wait?
I spend a lot of time out of service range or in my car where messages sometimes get marked as read and then lost in my inbox, and I also have 2 small kiddos who sometimes need my attention mid-reply. If it's been more than 3-4 days and you haven't heard back, feel free to send a nudge! For urgent matters please give me at least a few hours to have a chance to check my phone.
