🌾 A Montana Family Living the Life We Love: More than a REALTOR

Our family moved to Montana from Seattle in 2016 and it's the best decision we ever made. My husband, Justin, and I are raising our four children on our 4th generation Montana cattle ranch that we purchased in 2022 from my grandparents’ estate, about 25 miles outside of Lewistown.

Our days are filled with school activities, sports, ranch chores, horse snuggles, and all the wonderful busyness that comes with being a social Montana family. Justin and I fit some work in there too 😉

🐱 1 cat
🐴 2 horses
🐮 And always a few cows somewhere nearby!

Living in Lewistown has given our family the opportunity to slow down and get to know a tight-knit, community-focused town of people and enjoy a quality of life that's becoming harder and harder to find.

🌼 The Lewistown Farmers' Market season starts on June 20th - and we can't wait! This is one of our favorite Montana farmers' markets - beautiful produce, sourdough and caramel rolls, fresh cut flowers, local pork (try the hawaiian brats), jams, syrups, pies and more.

The Market is every Saturday from 8am - 12pm at Symmes Park next door to the Central Montana Historical Museum (also worth a visit). See you there, friends ☀️

In Lewistown, Montana, community calf brandings are about far more than ranch work — they’re a long-standing tradition rooted in neighbors helping neighbors. Each Spring, local families, friends, and ranch crews gather to work cattle together, share meals, and celebrate the ranching way of life that has shaped Central Montana for generations. While branding is an important part of livestock identification, these gatherings bring multiple generations together in a spirit of hard work and fun! Our whole family participates - and somehow I always get the job of neck shots 😂

I spent my childhood Summers out on my grandparents, Wilson & Virginia Richards, ranch outside of Lewistown. As a city kid growing up in Seattle, I longed for those magical Summer days riding horses, moving cattle, digging for worms, and fishing with my grandpa. Thankfully, my grandparents' ranch stayed in the family and we continued to make special memories there - getting engaged to my husband and then bringing all 4 of our babies to the ranch. They all grew to love it just as much as I did. And then in 2022, we were able to purchase the ranch and eventually make it our permanent home. We've lived in Kalispell and Bozeman but there's something extra special about Lewistown. It's as close to Mayberry as it gets 🥰
