The next week the scale stalls.

STOP falling for the “Protein” label trap!

These days, food companies slap the word “protein” on everything—from cereal to cookies—to make it look like a healthy choice… but is it really?

Let’s break it down:

🚫 Granola bars with 5g protein and 20g sugar
🚫 “Protein” cereal with less than 10g protein and 30g carbs from sugar 🥣
🚫 Cookies with 8g protein but 15–30g of fat and sugar 🍪

😳😳😳

How the heck are you supposed to know what’s actually healthy?

I get it.
I used to be fooled too until someone helped me understand how to read the labels.

Here’s a simple tip:
Take the amount of protein per serving and add a zero. If the total calories are equal to or less than that number, it’s likely a smart choice. 🙌🏼

Example 1:
Our Chocolate Mint Bar (yes, it tastes like a Thin Mint without the guilt!)
✅ 11g protein → 11 + 0 = 110
✅ Actual calories: 110
💯 Perfectly balanced.

Example 2:
Gatorade Chocolate Chip Protein Bar
❌ 20g protein → 20 + 0 = 200
❌ Actual calories: 350 and 28g added sugar
🚫 That’s a hard no.

Moral of the story?
Don’t be fooled by flashy labels. Flip it over and read the actual nutrition facts. ☠️

P.S. You don’t have to be in weight loss mode to enjoy these clean, protein-packed snacks. A bunch of my clients order them just to have better options than the junk at the store. 💪🏼
