A lot of what I’m doing during birth is noticing the things you shouldn’t have to carry in the moment.

Knowing what you want for your birth ahead of time helps me know when you may need support asking questions, slowing things down, or advocating for yourself. It also helps me support your partner in knowing when and how to step in.

My job isn’t to make decisions for you or control the room. It’s to help you stay informed, supported, and in your birth brain as much as possible while everything else is happening around you.

Bump to Babe Circle is happening this Thursday at 9:30 AM in Lockhart.

A relaxed space for pregnant and postpartum parents to come hang out, ask questions, connect, and talk about the real stuff around birth, postpartum, feeding, recovery, newborn life, and everything in between.

Babies and toddlers are welcome. Birth workers too.

Heading to an induction today and this felt like a good time to say this:

Induction does not mean you stop having choices.

You can ask what the goal is. You can ask about benefits and risks. You can ask what the alternatives are. You can ask what happens if you wait. And you can absolutely take a second and ask yourself how you feel about the next step too.

This is not about saying no to everything or fighting your care team.

It’s about understanding what’s happening and being part of the decision making.

You’re allowed to ask questions. You’re allowed to need a minute. You’re allowed to make an informed choice.

It’s the one where you felt informed, respected, and safe.

I don’t think confidence magically shows up one day.

I think it’s built in all the little moments where you have no idea what you’re doing, but you do it anyway.

Then one day you catch yourself handling something that would’ve sent you into a full spiral a few months ago.

That’s the cool part. And it’s one of my favorite things to watch as a doula, seeing your confidence grow everyday.

You don’t notice yourself growing while it’s happening.

You only notice when you look back.

I think a lot more mothers carry guilt, grief, shame, and pain around feeding after birth than we openly talk about.

This is for the moms grieving the experience they thought they’d have.
The moms trying every latch technique Google could offer.
The moms washing pump parts while crying in the kitchen.
The moms whose babies needed bottles before breast.
The moms wondering if they already missed their chance.

And also for the moms who decide breastfeeding is no longer what’s best for their body, mental health, baby, or family.

You are not failing.

Fed babies need supported mothers too.

Mother’s Day looks different when you work in postpartum care. 🤍

I get a front row seat to the most raw, exhausting, beautiful version of motherhood there is. The middle-of-the-night feeds. The recovery after birth. The overwhelming love mixed with complete exhaustion. The quiet moments where a mom finally gets to close her eyes and truly rest for the first time in days.

Supporting mothers during this season will never stop feeling like a privilege to me.

This Mother’s Day, I hope every mom knows this:
you deserve care too.
You were never meant to do this alone.

Mothers deserve to be mothered too. 🤍

If your baby’s sleep has been feeling all over the place, early wakes, short naps, constant guessing… this is where I come in.

This is hands-on support in your home so you’re not trying to figure it out alone.

What this looks like:
• a customized sleep plan and schedule
• overnight, in-home support while we implement together
• real-time adjustments based on your baby
• 1 month of follow-up support

I’m a postpartum doula and sleep consultant, and I don’t open weeks like this often. When I do, they tend to fill quickly.
