While California Freedom Summer has come to an end, the work continues‼️ Some of our students had the opportunity to talk to local news outlets about the work they did and some of the results the hope to see (and we did see as we saw record breaking voting numbers among young people in the midterm election!). 🗳💪🏽

The Lompoc high school CFS interns did an outstanding job in planning a well-organized and well-attended conference this past weekend!👏👏

CFS college interns, Elvira Aceves, Aidan Del Real, and Alejandro Valdivia were happy to support them. We also give a shout-out to Lilibeth and Stephanie from FLA. 🙌

This past week we held our two-day UCLA Conference Conference where we were able to bring together all the California Freedom Summer interns from across the state!

Interns were able to participate in various activities including workshops, movement-building within their regions, civic engagement exercises, and healing exercises. 📝🧘

We are excited to see what the interns were able to take out of this conference and apply it to their respective regions. 💫
