When was the last time you checked in with someone you care about – or even with yourself?

Social isolation can happen slowly over time. A person may begin spending more time alone, stop participating in activities they once enjoyed, or go long periods without meaningful interaction or support. Sometimes these changes are easy to miss.

But staying connected matters. Regular social connection plays an important role in emotional, cognitive, and physical health as we age. A phone call, visit, conversation, or shared moment can make a meaningful difference.

If this sounds familiar for you or someone in your life, it may be time to take a closer look at ways to stay connected and supported.

Mental health in older adults isn’t always easy to recognize—but it’s just as important as physical health at every stage of life. ❤️ Many emotional and behavioral changes can be overlooked or mistaken for other health concerns, which is why paying attention to shifts in mood, energy, or daily interest matters.

If something feels off, starting the conversation with a healthcare provider can be an important first step toward support and care.

Is it just part of aging… or something more?

As we get older, changes in mental health are normal, from shifts in sleep to occasional forgetfulness and adjusting to new routines. But not all changes should be brushed off.

Persistent sadness, increased worry, withdrawal from loved ones, or noticeable memory changes may be signs of something more serious. And too often, these symptoms are overlooked or mistaken as “just aging.”

Understanding the difference is one of the most important steps in protecting your overall well-being. 🧠♥️

If this sounds familiar to you or someone you love, it may be time to take a closer look.

Today, we’re celebrating the mothers and mother figures whose love, guidance, and care shape our lives in countless ways.

Because a mother’s impact isn’t only found in the moments we remember most – it’s also in the quiet, everyday ways that help shape who we become.

It’s in the lessons carried forward from one generation to the next.
The support that never wavers.
And, the care that shows up, again and again.

To all mothers, thank you for the strength, compassion, and love you bring into the world. Greater Good Health wishes you a wonderful day!

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

It's National Nurses Week and this year’s theme is one we see come to life every day at Greater Good Health - "The Power of Nurses."

Because the power of a nurse isn’t just in clinical expertise - though that’s a given. It’s in the way they empower others.

Our nurses meet patients where they are. They listen closely. They ask the right questions. They take the time to ensure each patient not only understands their care, but feels confident navigating it. In doing so, they help patients take an active role in their health, often in ways that change the trajectory of their lives.

That’s what power looks like here.

It’s helping someone feel seen in a system that can feel overwhelming.

It’s turning a routine visit into a moment of trust.

It’s creating consistency and connection, visit after visit.

And in the communities we serve, that impact goes far beyond the walls of a clinic.

To every nurse at Greater Good Health - thank you.

For the knowledge you bring.
For the compassion you lead with.
For the way you empower our patients to live healthier, fuller lives.

You are not only delivering care - you are shaping what better care looks like.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Your well-being is more than physical health. Your mental and emotional health deserve care, too.

One way to start is by checking in with yourself:
• Paying attention to changes in your mood or energy
• Taking a moment to notice how you’re really doing
• Giving yourself permission to slow down

Progress can begin with something small – and even one step can make a difference. If you're interested in learning more about what mental health support looks like, connect with a trusted Greater Good Health provider and start the conversation.
