The PGY3’s had their last dinner reunion together at Blair’s in Silver Lake. Bittersweet 🥺 We wish them all the best in their endeavors and will miss them dearly!!

Dr. Eric Kwong has decided to combine his passion for both clinical medicine and research through the research track here at Kaiser Permanente LAMC. He did his PhD dissertation on the Role of Sphingosine Kinase 2 in Alcoholic Liver Disease and was awarded NIH funding for the project. He was recently named one of the 2021 Emerging Liver Scholars as an internal medicine resident for his contributions in liver disease research and potential for a career in hepatology. Eric feels honored by this unique opportunity to attend the Liver Meeting in November where other residents and researchers all over the nation gather together to discuss novel ideas. His current career goal is a gastroenterology fellowship where he will be able to continue his clinical interests while making new discoveries in the field. We are very proud of Eric for his hard work!
