Have you ever had a REAL Krabby Patty? 🦀🍔

STORY TIME : Reminiscing on that one time I had the honor of being the culinary lead at a recovery facility. The clients were easily my favorite part of the job.

They pushed me to tap into my creativity and inner child through my dishes just to keep some joy and excitement alive in that space.

There’s one client I’ll never forget. A young man from Tennessee, he had a heavy accent, light heart, and a serious love for my cooking. I even got him to try things he swore he’d never touch. These Krabby Patties did something to him for sure!

He wouldn’t leave the kitchen while I was making them. He even asked for seconds.. and thirds 😂. And when there was one last patty left he hid it for after his therapy session like it was gold.

Moments like that stay with you.It’s the small things that end up meaning everything. 🧡✨

I want to thank you all for your patience. As some you may know, I’ve merged Sips Tea with OffSzning catering and it’s taken quite a while to get OffSzning established as its own LLC. As of last month OffSzning has become official and I’ve been working on separating the two and getting it off the ground. Therefore, the rebrand queen has been focusing on just that. Rebranding Sips Tea: separating businesses, adding more to the menu, better quality packaging, and working on a bigger location. With that said, the site will be down temporarily. I will keep you guys updated with all the cool new details for both catering and teas. I really appreciate the loyalty, teacups! You guys are the best! 🤩🌱

This is HUGE!!! 20yrs of passion, 7years of kitchen-work and 5 years of struggles and sacrifice! What may seem slow or unattainable literally pops up overnight if you keep working so keep working and NEVER give up. Show up as the person you desire to be. Put yourself in places and around people that aid in your manifestations! Simply exercise your confidence and TRUE character, pray and watch things unfold!!! This feels fu***ng amazing… I’m still crying 😢🤩

I’M GLAD I STEPPED OUT OF THE FEAR OF FAILURE & REJECTION. BUT I’M ALSO BLESSED TO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE BS OF BEING A RESTAURANT CHEF BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN FORCED TO STEP OUT ON FAITH AND OPEN MYSELF
MORE TO RECEIVE WHAT GOD HAS IN STORE FOR ME. 🙏🏾

EVER SINCE I SURRENDERED MYSELF TO THE LIFE I WAS SO AFRAID TO BUILD I HAVE NOT FAILED AND HAVEN’T HEARD “NO” YET. NOT SAYING I NEVER WILL, I’M JUST AMAZED AT HOW GREAT THINGS CAN HAPPEN OVERNIGHT WHEN YOU LET GO OF FEAR. 💰👩🏾‍🍳

Happy Birthday to my baby!!! 🥳
I remember when you started out DBA in 2012 serving alcohol infused ice cream 🍨. You later on became a foodie page full of my creations and cool leads to some of LA’s foodie-favorites 2015-2017. In 2018 I lost my job at one of LA’s famous juice bars that put me in a position to say “I’ve had enough of limiting myself to someone else’s dream” I then revisited my recipe books and decided to introduce you all to my uniquely crafted ice teas 🫖
I then took a break to focus on my pregnancy for a year. 2020, the pandemic hit and I reopened Sips Tea which was perfect because I began juicing, creating meal plans and detoxes, and using a better variety of herbs to make my brews from scratch instead of using premade teabags. Fast forward to Jan 2021 I incorporated loose leaf teas, herbal skin care and facials to demonstrate how essential herbs and produce are to our daily lives whether we’re eating it or wearing it. We went on to just focus on loose leaf teas but it started getting quiet so we started a podcast (that’s currently being edited into a series 😏). We were featured in a local magazine and now serving bomb seafood dinners and some of the best ice teas in the nation!
Many phases for many gifts/ideas💡. I can say Sips Tea has liveddddd honey! We’ve gone through every phase possible but we always stuck to the plan and that’s all that matters. Running your business is HARD especially when you want to do
Soooooo much with it. Literally
None of us have it all figured out all we know is the end goal! My word of advice is go through as many phases as you have to in order to get to where you want to be. Only you know what you have to do so do it and NEVER GIVE UP. There’s going to things and people trying to
Slow you down. You have permission to punch the air for a good 5 sec or take a day to rest and isolate. As long as you get back up and keep going, you’re literally one step closer to your success 🥳🧡🌱
