Children are the future caregivers of the environment and the future world leaders! Join me in helping to support Project Based Learning training for the teacher's of WBNS. Woodson Branch Nature School is a small farm, forest and nature based PK-8th grade school nestled in the mountains but it is making a huge impact on our small community. The youth manage the gardens and farm animals and the food is donated to local families and food banks in the communities. Students from this school have also participated in trail maintenance for the many hiking trails in this area and other conservation activities. Though they be but little, they be fierce! Please make a donation of any size to help support this lovely school and their hardworking teachers.

At the end of the 8.46 minutes of silence during last night’s solidarity march, the town bells rang (note the hands of the clock are not on the hour yet) and the statue of justice on top of the courthouse was illuminated by the sun.

SATURDAY 7:30 PM IN MARSHALL, RALLY FOR RACIAL JUSTICE A group of community members are holding a peaceful rally for racial justice in Marshall tomorrow to stand in solidarity with the nationwide protests in the wake of George Floyds murder. ROAR is not organizing this event but we wholeheartedly encourage all to attend. Folks will be meeting on the island at 7:30pm to cross the bridge and end at the courthouse. There will be 8 minutes and 46 seconds of silence to honor the life of George Floyd.

Safe social distancing measures, masks, self-awareness, nuanced ideas and hand sanitizer are highly encouraged.

Let's turn out and show that rural communities will take a stand for black lives!

On the last new moon I prayed for guidance about how to proceed forward at this time. The next morning I awoke and immediately knew l needed to start a community based organization to help each other. Spirit gave me the name “Wings of the Sun”. As an archaeologist, mythologist and spiritual worker the powerful meaning of the winged sun disk was not lost on me. But I had been hearing more. “Let the light of the Truth begin with me and spread out through humanity like the wings of the sun.”

So in the time of the coronavirus and on the new moon, Wings of the Sun was born.

“Definition of corona: Corona is a luminous envelope of plasma that surrounds the Sun and other celestial bodies. It is extended to millions of kilometres into space and is commonly seen during a total solar eclipse.“

Let the light of the Truth begin with you and spread. In a time of fear and uncertainty, what is one illumination you have received from the coronavirus? What gift have you been shown to share during this time of “the Great Pause?” How can you help those you love, your community, the world?

I just can't shake the sorrow from the emotional toll that those on the frontlines are experiencing brought to our attention by Dr. Breen's su***de. I wanted to say death, but the truth is it was the choice of an angelic hero to leave this living world because the suffering was too great to bear. The weight of this tremendous responsibility, dedication and service - we are all feeling it. We are ALL energetically connected to one another. When one suffers we ALL suffer. When we heal we ALL heal. We must create the world we dream of. We must be the change. I want to put this here...if you need support please reach out to me. It's a new morning! What world will you help create under the sticks of the Sun?

MORNING POEM
Every morning
the world
is created.
Under the orange

sticks of the sun
the heaped
ashes of the night
turn into leaves again

and fasten themselves to the high branches —
and the ponds appear
like black cloth
on which are painted islands

of summer lilies.
If it is your nature
to be happy
you will swim away along the soft trails

for hours, your imagination
alighting everywhere.
And if your spirit
carries within it

the thorn
that is heavier than lead —
if it’s all you can do
to keep on trudging —

there is still
somewhere deep within you
a beast shouting that the earth
is exactly what it wanted —

each pond with its blazing lilies
is a prayer heard and answered
lavishly,
every morning,

whether or not
you have ever dared to be happy,
whether or not
you have ever dared to pray.
