At this time of awareness, it becomes important to revisit this topic of skin bleaching. It is insidious. It is harmful physically and emotionally. It is also an off-shoot of ingrained racism that dehumanizes and turns inwards against the self. The ingredients in these products are toxic and can cause lasting severe health problems. Most importantly, we must begin to heal from centuries of racism and degradation. Demand that companies stop selling and promoting bleaching creams and whitening products as a whole. Enforce laws banning these ingredients. Please read on.
