SPRING into SUMMER 🌬️🍃☀️🌀🌵🐬🤸‍♀️🏖️
lately so much love is flowing into my life that my heart grew two sizes and there wasn’t enough room in my ribcage like the grinch (who I respect). I literally went to a chiropractor for an adjustment to ~ make more room to bloom ~ 🥀🌹

I’ve been in the spaces and portals of life and death, doing the Good Work of a Witch in Love with the World (even when it is aching), tending and caring for the sicknesses and the wellnesses. i have been teaching a group of lovely amazing hilarious strong silly students how to be their most truest, realest selves, just by using their own energy and lots of bad jokes! the ripples are rippling.....

~ j tree nudity ~ a good way to get free esp when you feel like your body doesn’t fit in anywhere as it changes and ages... take it to the rocks and see how they are the same like WE ARE THE EARTH the Earth is us ! how sweet it is !
~ “we go to the desert to fill ourselves from emptiness and empty ourselves from fullness” - some dude in a hot tub in joshua tree like 10 years ago. a real good and true clearing, as bodies bake in the sun.

~ my ass was in Vogue magazine. shout out to Bridge Thrift in HLP where I bought the loud blue animal print gown hours earlier for its debut at the Garibaldina Society, where it was right at home obviously

I think victory is:
✨ healing
✨ softening
✨ surviving
✨ beginning again
✨ returning to yourself after hard things

We are not here to stay inside our pain forever.

🌸 APRIL RECAP & SPIRITUAL HELLO / LIFE UPDATES

The month flew by in a strange way like when a bee moves slow…all buzz and hum and a little frantic but also tired, low energy 🐝🥱

🦉 a lot of wild encounters
(bees in a pepper tree, recently-shed snake skin, baby possum on my back porch, dead baby bird to bury, baby goats with their mamas, purple sailor jellyfish, the wildest Pasadena parrot situation, owls hooting their love songs at midnight outside my window for weeks, proof that a butterfly had emerged at my front door, approx 1 million snails)

🌹 so many plants
roses, datura, calendula, mugwort, california poppy
(making bouquets for my house almost every day)

🐾 4 Pet Readings
(all dogs- some with health issues, one at end of life, one with “interesting” behaviors)

✨ 3 Spirit Baby readings
(lots of big family themes moving through)

🌀 3 Spiritual Counseling sessions
(big life changes- self-forgiveness, what comes next after achieving a goal, learning to hear your inner voice)

🕯️ 4 women for Psychic Midwifery support
(pregnancies, emotional processing, herbal protocols, grief tending, deep healing)

🔮 started teaching a round of Clairvoyant Meditation classes
so fun!

grief needs somewhere to go

it needs room and space

and ritual

it needs attention.

Grief feeds on beauty and flowers and honey

It starts to become sweet when we give it shape structure love and care

This week I’ve had several moments of connecting with people in their experience of active grieving, and in mourning a loss of my own.

I helped someone create a ceremony after a miscarriage.

I lit candles for a family member who died after a brief illness.

Gratitude for my grief practices knows no bounds. May the bitterness release. May our losses bring in the sweetness of how much we love. Amen.

Hello fellow humans of Earth~ I’m sorry the world is hard and sad but may I bring an offering to share here in the town square we know as The Internet.

I, after seeing something incredibly disturbing and wrong and against our innate nature (yes, I’m talking about war), walked out my door just in time to see this passionflower bloom right before my eyes.

My mind got blown twice. Once by the horrors on the news…and then by a flower. What a world we live in.

Women rejoice! You were created in your mother in her mother! ✨✨✨

Did you even know this wild thing about being human??
When your grandmother was pregnant with your mother…

the egg that eventually became you was already forming inside your mother’s tiny body. ✨🌀✨

We literally begin our lives inside a lineage of women. I think about this a lot in the work that I do. I get to sit with women in the most tender and powerful thresholds of life

~ before conception
~ during pregnancy
~ after loss/in grief/in healing
~ in those strange quiet in-between moments where something is ending and something else is trying to begin AT THE SAME TIME…! 🤯

Sometimes daughters hire me to read for their mothers.

Sometimes I get to meet babies in spirit before they’re even here yet.

Sometimes I sit with women who are holding enormous things in their wombs- the love, trauma, creation, death, memory, hope… all of it tangled together because that’s what being human actually is!

During Women’s Month and around International Women’s Day I kept seeing women say how honored they feel to have a female body in this lifetime. I read it many times and I so agree, tho it took me a long time to arrive here.

Our bodies do so much! Blood, birth, grief, pleasure, loss, creativity, endings, beginnings. But they are powerful and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

So this rose life cycle felt right to show the Bud and the Bloom, the Full Expression and the Softening back into the earth again. It’s not a decline but a cycle 🌀🌀🌀

And I feel incredibly grateful that my life’s work lets me witness women moving through these cycles every day.

We are messy, brave, sacred, beautiful and human af🌹

Los Angeles I love you ~ you are the city of Angels, hawks, mountains, and ocean, millions of humans, native plants, animals, bugs, lizards, freeways, smog, and extremes of wealth and poverty.
My home for 15 years.

This is the place where I began a relationship with hawks, which is weird bc I was born and grew up out in the c**t (the country lol) and spent so much time with my grandmother on the 100 acre nudist camp where she lived for decades. But here in LA in the Hollywood Hills, where I landed in 2010, is how I came to know hawks! 𓅃

I used to look up at them and ask if I could have a feather. One had already been gifted to me by a Native friend, tucked inside a book called Earth Medicine, given to me just before I moved here. I brought them both with me and I still have them.

𓅃 I share this because it’s inseparable from my work as a spiritual counselor. 𓅃

I know I’m a transplant and I do not claim this land. I strive to be in right relationship ~ with place, with lineage, with the Wild Life we exist with. I’m here to listen and steward and to advocate. To remember that this city is alive, in so many ways.

Spiritual counseling, for me, is about helping people remember their place in the web of life ~ their intuition, their body, their grief, their choices, their belonging. It’s about being bridges between inner and outer worlds, spirit and matter, human and earth. And how we get to be Who We Are, where we are.

So much of what I share comes from this devotion ~ to being in relation.
To doing our best.
To seeing that we are all earthlings here.
