Bethany which one surprised you?
Hope these better swaps helped ❤️🤝
Also, it’s not realistic to avoid all brands owned by bigger corporations, but I think it’s important to know who does own them and vote with your dollar. I know I have items in my pantry that are owned by big food (still clean ingredients, organic, etc. - hey Primal Kitchen ketchup I see you😂).
I think quality of ingredients and less inflammatory ingredients are the main focus over overall (regardless of who owns the brand) but ironically enough, quality of ingredients often decline as bigger corporations take over…. not all the time, but more often than not. I love a good Laura bar here and there and they are owned by General Mills. So that’s not to say I never spend money on something owned by big food. I’m not claiming to be perfect, no one is.
Just be sure to read the ingredients, know your source, and support smaller brands if and when you can. It makes a difference because nobody wants to live in a world that is run by six organizations. 🤝
