This we’re celebrating Opill, the first-ever OTC, progestin-only birth control pill in the US! 🥳

Due to systemic inequities, barriers to BC fall harder on communities of color & Native ppl, young ppl, immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, ppl w/ disabilities & those working to make ends meet. Let’s *truly* & make care accessible for ALL 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽👏🏼👏🏻

✨ We’re excited to announce that Black Women for Wellness is hosting our Annual Reproductive Justice Conference — themed “Minding Our Own Black Business” 🖤✊🏾
📍 Join us on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at The California Endowment in Los Angeles for a powerful day of connection, conversation, and community-led advocacy. GSB4UGS will be presenting “Respect the Body, Protect the Heart”, bringing youth voices and leadership to the forefront of reproductive justice.

This year’s conference centers Black women’s autonomy, wellness, and resistance in the face of escalating attacks on our reproductive freedoms. One of the key highlights I’d love to highlight is our Youth Track, specifically designed for students ages 12 and up. The Youth Track will include:
A session on Healthy Relationships
An Introduction to Reproductive Justice
A Teen Talk discussion to elevate youth voices and experiences
A creative session for youth expression

Event Details
Date: Thursday, August 7, 2025
Time: Conference: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Youth Track: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: The California Endowment, 1000 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Here is the Eventbrite link to register. We are offering FULL scholarships for students, please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected] for the scholarship code or with any questions.

Happy ! 🎉💊🎉

One year ago, the first over-the-counter daily birth control pill became available on U.S. shelves—no prescription or ID needed! Yet, many people still don’t know about Opill. 🤯

Help change that today: Tell 5 friends about . A simple conversation could make a huge difference.

📢 Spread the word.

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

No matter your relationship status, understanding the 5 Love Languages can help strengthen your connections and deepen intimacy. Here’s how you can show (and receive) love in a way that truly matters:

💬 Words of Affirmation – A simple “I appreciate you” or “You look amazing today” can go a long way!

⏳ Quality Time – Put your phone down, be present, and enjoy uninterrupted moments together.

🎁 Gift Giving – It’s not about price, but thoughtfulness—small gestures show big love!

🛠 Acts of Service – A little effort goes a long way. Cook a meal, run an errand, or just make life easier for your person.

🤗 Physical Touch – Hugs, kisses, hand-holding, or just cuddling—sometimes touch says more than words.

Love is more than romance—it’s about connection, care, and communication. However you express love today, make sure it’s consensual, respectful, and healthy! ❤️

This weekend our Fall 24’ Rites of Passage Cohort closed out the week
by taking a trip to the California African American Museum!

Seeing the resilience, beauty, and strength of our ancestors was incredibly empowering for these girls. It was more than just a field trip—it was a reminder of their rich heritage and the endless possibilities ahead. Proud of how they’re embracing their roots to build a bright future! Thank you !!
