In traditional Chinese medicine/ancient healing practices, the season of midlife requires deeper nourishment, a soft rhythm, emotional honesty, and more discernment around what is sustainable.
Your body becomes less tolerant of depletion and more responsive to what replenishes you.
A few reminders, if you are in this season…
🌀Simplicity can be healing.
🌀Your emotions impact your physical health.
🌀Nourishment is more than what’s on your plate.
Rest, warm foods, boundaries, sunlight, multi minerals, creativity, pleasure, safety, receiving….
Your body deserves it.

Your body really shouldn’t be carrying the weight of unspoken boundaries, but it does.
Ways the body made “shout” when boundaries go unspoken:
• chronic exhaustion
• headaches or migraines
• digestive issues
• jaw clenching
• anxiety or panic
• frequently getting sick
• insomnia
• burnout
Your body isn’t betraying you, but it may be trying to protect you from what you haven’t yet expressed
Speak your needs and your truth so your body doesn’t have to scream them for you 🗣️🙏🏾

With heavy emphasis on “changing the relationship with it”, what an absolutely freeing and healing opportunity at hand to have a deep understanding of what pain is trying to teach you.
I’ve gotten in the practice of having a conversation with parts of my body that are calling out for attention.
If it’s acute inflammation, I ask what in my life is yelling at me for immediate attention.
If it’s a dull, stubborn and ache, I ask, where am I resistant to move?

Being an acupuncturist doesn’t mean I believe healing only happens through acupuncture.
I believe in using the full spectrum of holistic tools available to support the body, mind and spirit.
✨Acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, nervous system care, movement, rest, pleasure, nature, therapy, spirituality, meaningful connection, laughter, boundaries and more should be explored.✨
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. What nourishes one person may not nourish another. Part of wellness is learning to listen deeply to your own body and adjust accordingly.
Stay curious. Pay attention to how you feel. Your body is always giving feedback. 💜
