I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University (APU), in Azusa, California, and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cambridge College (CC), in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Among some of my special interests are Trauma/PTSD, Severe Mental Disorders (Bipolar and Schizophrenia), and Developmental Psycholog
y. Among some of my interests at CC were addictions, particularly with her Capstone work: “Children of Addicts – A Place for Them to Grow” (Program Design). I am currently working in private practice with Natasha Morisawa Therapy, Inc. and community mental health practice at Family Resource Centers at Hillsides Corporation. I provide outpatient treatment for individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families, using various modalities, creating and sustaining the therapeutic alliance with diverse client populations, including cross-cultural, LGBTQ, men and women, voluntary, court ordered, and victims of crime. I am experienced in intake assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, administration and scoring of standardized tests. I am experienced in working with individuals, couples, families, and children/adolescents with a variety of presenting problems including Addictions, Pre-martial/Marital, Divorce Recovery, Sexual Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder (Dysthymia), Major Depressive Disorder, Trauma/Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Attachment and Attunement. I am experienced with a variety of clinical theories, including Psychodynamic, Psychoanalysis, Satir, Bowen, Mindfulness CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Narrative, Existential, Object Relations, Attachment Theory, and Metaphor Therapy. I am a PREPARE/ENRICH Certified Facilitator to offer the PREPARE/ENRICH Program to pre-marital and marital couples. I am a Divorce and Recovery Facilitator with Los Angeles Catholic Diocese. Special Areas of Interest for Further Study:
Gestalt, Intersubjectivity, Choice Theory, EMDR, Rapid Resolution Therapy, Substance Abuse and Recovery (Recovery Model), Infant and Child Anxiety Syndrome, and psycho-educating the general population to raise awareness and reduce stigma. I am currently a member of the following organizations:
