One misconception I consistently hear from people is that squats are the best exercise for your glutes. Firstly, Squats are a quad dominant exercise. While they can use the gluteus muscles synergistically, typically most people I witness, do not have optimal mobility to efficiently utilize the glutes. This is due to muscle imbalance and tightness in your body.
Secondly, Hamstrings Are a VITAL part of the posterior chain and therefore essential to glute development. To help lift, grow and develop the GLUTES, I am performing multiple hamstring exercises with a variety positional modifications to target all parts of the hamstring complex as it is made up of actually 3 different muscles: the biceps femoris, semitendinosus and semimembranosus.
**Performing a variety of exercises is key to your fitness program and your body will not benefit if you do the same thing time and time again!
