"My child's COVID was mild — so we're in the clear, right?"

We sat down with Dr. Uzma Hasan, Regional Director of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Northern New Jersey Barnabas Health Medical Group, to answer parents' freqeuntly asked questions about Long Covid. She helped open one of the first pediatric Long COVID clinics in the country and is currently researching how it affects kids.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Sydney O'Hearn to the American Lung Association in Kentucky's Local Leadership Board! 🎉

Sydney brings a passion for communication, connection, and community engagement to our board. With degrees in Communication and Digital Media, she currently works in internal communications at Tri Arrows Aluminum, where she combines her love of storytelling, strategy, and bringing people together to make an impact.

Originally from Owensboro, Sydney has proudly called Louisville home for the past three years and recently celebrated an exciting new chapter by purchasing a home with her fiancé.

When she's not at work, you'll likely find Sydney traveling, reading, writing, or planning events that actually make it out of the group chat! She and her fiancé are also the proud parents of two beloved pups, Coach and Eleanor, who keep life fun, busy, and full of surprises.

Sydney is excited to bring her communications expertise, event-planning experience, and community-building spirit to the board as she helps advance the American Lung Association's mission to improve lung health and save lives.
