We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. This is a full-time 11p - 9a position with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and day program.
Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect confidentiality and privacy.
Engage clients in social activities that promote community involvement and enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Background in patient care, nursing home settings, or home health is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their fullest potential.
Certification in first aid or CPR is an advantage but not required.
High school diploma/GED
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Clean criminal background
Child abuse registry check
