Just a way to start a week. Wake up at 4am and get ready to head to Houston for appointments. Looks like Owen is moving there but this is what it takes to go for a couple appointments and be on the road for 2hrs there and 2hrs back.

Owen went to the pumpkin patch today! It was the best little outing for our family together and our nurse was great to be an extra set of hands. Owen even got to wear the same outfit AJ did for his first pumpkin patch visit.

Yesterday was a long day in Houston to visit pedi surgery and our pulmonologist. Owen got his gtube changed out and we got a good report from both doctors. We had a little hiccup later that evening and had to get some more labs done but all was well. Owen had a snoozy day of resting today from the busy day yesterday.
Keep praying for him to continue to have good days as we adjust to a routine and fit all the things into our schedule.

A good weekend was had…now it’s time to sleep.

Yesterday we had an appointment in Houston and we didn’t have the courage to walk across the sky bridge to say hi to friends since we were there not too long ago, so we said hi from afar to all our friends!
On another note we were so glad we were able to get into the Chosen Clinic where they treat medically complex children everyday. We got to meet the doctor, the social worker (who gave us tons of homework) and the dietitian. We are excited to get to be apart of this clinic for Owen’s journey.

O is 8 months old today! Where has the time gone?! He weighs 24 lbs and wears a size 6 diaper and 12 month clothes. He is a big boy with all the rolls and we love every last one of them and the squishy cheeks. It’s been a heck of 8 months and O has sent us on a learning journey but I would do it all again to meet him. He is smiling so much now and is beginning to move his head and arms more that I’m excited to see what we can possibly accomplish with therapy. Oh, but he is still Owen and will let you know when he isn’t a happy camper. His favorite way to let you know he is mad or wants attention it to desat and set his alarm off, then as you come to check on him, he smiles and takes his O2 right back up to normal. Even so, he is a cutie and I think we will keep him. 💙💙
