Last night was so busy that I didn’t get a chance to post. We celebrated 27 years married yesterday. For the first time in probably five years, we had dinner together on our anniversary. Since we have had the meat shop, this time of year has never been conducive to us getting to celebrate. We closed down Cracker Barrel last night! The last year has been both hard and such a blessing for us. We have learned more about what it means to be supportive of each other and learned that we cannot do without each other. He has been by my side for almost half my life and has been such a wonderful partner. Times have been hard for us at times and some days I didn’t know if I wanted to stay or kill him, but the time together has been worth it all! I love you, Jeffrey Stark! Here’s to at least 27 more!

This is #12 of 14! My hair is doing its own thing today!! I’m having a little surgical procedure on Thursday to fix a little issue, but other than this stupid sinus infection, I’m feeling good!!! I will see someone at the spine center next week about my neck and we will celebrate our Madison Stark’s 23rd birthday on Monday, so things are moving along! We also now have our son and his family at our house with us so we have had some busy days and we wouldn’t change it for the world!! This has been quite the journey, but I’m ready for it not to be all about me for a change! Praising God, even for the hiccups, because I am a survivor!!!

Today is 11 of 14! I took the picture once I was done because I slept pretty much through the whole treatment. 🤣 I feel pretty good other than the continuing joint pain. I am currently having some tests to try to figure that one out! I am blessed by such a good job that has allowed me to work in a different capacity while finishing this chemo up. I am scheduled for surgery on October 24 and I am very much looking forward to that. Thank you all for your continued love and prayers throughout the past year. Don’t stop now! It’s hard to believe that it has been just over a year since I first started treatment. I truly believe that God has a perfect plan with my journey and I definitely have a different mindset having gone through this past year. There have been tears and laughter as my family has helped me be a warrior and a survivor. I couldn’t have done it without them.

Today is #10 of 14. I’m excited to be getting so much closer to the end! During the past month I have developed some pretty intense joint pain (all over). They are not really sure what is causing it - possibly the antibiotic I was on, my high ferritin level, the chemo, or who knows! I physically feel better, but I can tell I am having some swelling again. I can feel it in my legs and see it in my face. I feel like I have become a hypochondriac because I worry about all these weird symptoms and what they mean. They are scheduling me for a bone density test, so I hope to have some answers then. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers!! Jeff and I were so blessed to have ALL of our grandchildren with us last weekend. Their sweet spirits are so good for the soul. I think it is safe to say now, but we are also looking forward to Kendall’s family moving VERY close to us before the end of the year. It will be the first time that they have lived near us since Gia and Kendall got married, so we are excited about that. There are some preparations to be made, but we are working on those a little along. So, there is a lot going on right now and I need this joint pain gone!! Again, I want to thank all my family and friends for helping us out and supporting us with prayers!

I won’t even pretend I understand all of the book of Revelations…..but I do understand quite plainly that I do not wish to spend eternity in hell…..
Keep in mind. The rapture comes before the anti christ. I have been reading the Bible, in many different forms and it really does always come down to this. I have been hearing about the second coming of Christ and the events unfolding since I was a child. The "Mark of the Beast", microchips, no cash/just plastic, Marshall Law, Total Government dependency/control. When we are raising a family, working long hours, some two jobs, lots of things go unnoticed or just get ignored.
No one can comprehend how bad it will be......till it is. We have NEVER been told to stay home, quit work and rely on the Government. WE are seeing a lot of "firsts" since January 2020! Can our minds and bodies handle what's coming?
Not without God - I wonder what doctor they will have on the news explaining the rapture and the disappearance of so many people? I won’t be here for it but it’s just a thought. While the devil is preparing people for the Anti Christ, God is preparing people for the Rapture. I don’t know when the rapture will take place but I know that I won’t be left behind when that trumpet sounds!
I also believe right now that God is giving us a chance to repent. We need to get the Gospel message out!!! Until the Good Lord calls me away from this world to go home, I want to make it clear that I believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only True Lord and Savior. Despite the fact that I am human, and I fail a lot, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
I believe that He came as a baby, I believe that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and that He rose from the dead on the third day and He is in Heaven preparing a place for all those who believe and trust in Him as their Savior. He loves us all dearly (far more than we deserve) and forgives our sins when we repent. His Word says in John 3:16 "Whosoever believeth in Me, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Matthew 10:33 says, “But whosoever shall deny me before men, he will I also deny before my Father which art in heaven.”

I know y’all are probably tired of seeing my face, but it helps me keep up with hair growth. Today is supposed to be #6 of 14. Right now, they are waiting on approval from the insurance company 😬. For the life of me, I cannot understand why they didn’t approve the whole course of treatment (all 14). So, it is a waiting game right now. I just want to get this one done and hopefully be good for the weekend. I am looking forward to spending time with all the grandchildren this weekend. So, here is to kicking this cancer’s butt - one treatment at a time! Thank you for continuing to keep me in your prayers!

Just a quick update!! Last Wednesday I had a bilateral mastectomy. Prior to my surgery, ultrasound had shown all the cancer was gone and there was only a clip in place where the cancer had been prior to chemo. My pathology report, however, showed cancer that was still present, but it was removed with the surgery. It is not often that we get to see the result of praying for wisdom in making the right decision, but I received confirmation from God that I had made the right decision in choosing to have a mastectomy. All four lymph nodes were clear of cancer the and the right side showed completely benign breast tissue. I had a post-op appointment today, and although I didn’t get the drains out today, my incisions looked really good and I am on track for complete healing. I won’t see my oncologist until March 3rd, so I don’t know what the next step will be. Thank you all for the meals, visits, prayers, etc. I have felt the prayers and feel covered in love!! I feel really good! Thank you all who have truly been the hands and feet of Jesus!

Just wanting to update you all and thank you all for the prayers!! I had a repeat echocardiogram on Tuesday afternoon. I received a call yesterday from the cardiologist office letting me know that the echo looked a lot better than the one I had in December. They said they would forward the results to my oncologist. I had bloodwork done yesterday and it was also good. Today I went to see the oncologist and was looking forward to being able to get back on my schedule for chemo next week. Instead, I got much better news. She said she wanted to get my surgeon involved, get a new ultrasound, and while letting my heart rest, maybe go ahead with surgery and if everything looked good, I would be DONE with chemo!!!! Did you hear that?!?! I still have the Herceptin to continue, but she says many times after a rest and giving my heart time to heal, when it is started back it doesn’t cause problems. If so, there is an alternative!! So, to say that I am grateful, blessed, happy, and relieved is an understatement!! 💗💗💕💕. The immediate prayer request is that nothing is seen on ultrasound on Tuesday and surgery can be scheduled!! Again, thank you and thank God for His many blessings and his perfect timing!

29/12/2022

UPDATE: I went to the cardiologist today. It seems I am in heart failure (not as bad as it sounds). So, no chemo until I get my heart a little stronger and my regimen may get changed up a bit but I won’t know that until next week when I see Dr. Jones on the 6th. This is treatable!!! For now, I have two new prescriptions that will aide in getting rid of some of this retained fluid and a low dose blood pressure medication to help my heart heal a bit (my blood pressure is fine). I covet your continued prayers and I am hopeful that this won’t delay me a long time and that the medications do their job and I will feel better and ready for chemo when it restarts! Thank you all for your prayers and your concerns!! 💗

I have been hesitant in even posting this, but I need some specific requests in your prayers this week. I have been having some shortness of breath for the last few weeks - thought it was a transient symptom, but alas, it is not. It really is the only thing that I have had and, along with the fatigue, I thought it would pass. I had a routine follow-up echo last Monday and labs on Thursday to prepare for my chemo this week. Unfortunately, my ejection fraction was down a little and my GLS number came down, also. This, coupled with the shortness of breath, earned me a visit to a cardiologist this week to get clearance for my next chemo. Unfortunately, the visit is on my chemo day, so no chemo until she says it is okay. I know God’s timing is perfect and He is faithful, even though we don’t deserve it. However, my flesh is weak, and I selfishly want to stay on schedule with chemo! I want this process over ! I am praying that she can clear me on Thursday and I will be good to go for Friday if they can fit me in. I am hoping they are just ”playing it safe” with making sure I have no permanent heart damage from the treatments. Also, I think if I could get some of the swelling gone, I would have much less shortness if breath, but that is just my opinion!! 🤣🤣

Sorry for the dreaded selfie today!! I am swollen and red today, but I feel pretty good. Today marks #4 of #6 - one step closer!! It’s has been a rough few weeks, but I have been prayed up by my church last night and I have prayed for myself as well (which is really hard for me to do). I am so blessed to have prayer warrior family, church family, and friends, that I am positive this one is going to be much easier. Please keep my immediate family in your prayers because they are the ones that have to deal with my incessant whining!! 🤣🤣🤣.

“Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
