✨Tattoos at The Festival✨
As Summer approaches and artists begin doing outdoor tattoo pop-ups, it's time for a quick PSA-
Be extremely careful!
Open wounds plus sun exposure, sweating, swimming and camping is not a great idea to begin with.
Using Saniderm/dermshield/second skin comes with it's own risks.
When your sweat gets trapped inside the bandage it will often lead to a bacterial infection.
Make sure you clean with ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP!!
If the label doesn't say "anti-bacterial" it's not.
Use moisturizer (non petroleum based) and keep out of sun!
Do not apply sunscreen to open wounds.
If you have redness, swelling, area around the wound is warm or hot to the touch more than 48hrs after the tattoo, seek medical attention.
Mersa, Staph and Necrotizing Fasciitis is nothing to play with.
Stay safe out there!
