You love serving. Your family, your church, your community , your heart says yes to it all. But somewhere along the way, "yes" to others became "no" to your own soul, your own rest, and even your own spouse.
Here's a truth worth hearing today: rest is not laziness, and boundaries are not selfishness.
Even Jesus , the One who came to serve , regularly withdrew to quiet places to rest and pray (Luke 5:16). He understood that He couldn't pour out what He had not first received. And He invites us to do the same.
Healthy boundaries around serving look like:
🌿 Recognizing that "no" to one good thing can be "yes" to something better
🌿 Asking your spouse where they need you most : and prioritizing that
🌿 Letting go of guilt when you choose rest, knowing it refuels you to love well
🌿 Trusting God with the tasks you release, rather than carrying them all yourself
Serving from a full heart is a gift. Serving from an empty one helps no one : least of all your marriage.
Where might God be inviting you to set a loving boundary and rest this week? 👇
