Hey friends! Another Sunday night is wrapping up, and I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mondays always come up quick, so here’s to hoping yours starts with a smile. 🤗

If you’re in a position to donate, Brad and Kim could really, truly use the help right now. Everything is coming out of pocket, and to be honest, those pockets are just about empty and pulled inside out.

Beyond the financial relief, your support is a huge mental boost for them both. It’s just nice to know people care enough to throw a few bucks your way. If you feel like skipping Starbucks today, you could donate that $5 instead.

I’ll even make you a deal: when Brad is doing better and back on his feet, I’ll tell him he owes you a cup of coffee. I can’t promise it’ll taste good, though. I’d guess he’ll get your order wrong—especially if it involves oat milk or half-caff—and if you really want that "Starbucks feel," we’ll make sure he gets your name wrong on the cup, too! 😹

Seriously though, I’m trying to make light of a heavy situation. Every cent goes directly toward taking care of Brad—whether it’s for medicine, keeping the lights on, or making sure the AC is running (and you know we need that AC already!). We promise you, nothing "fun" is happening with this money; it’s just about navigating the day-to-day life of our FHS 1991 class clown. Well, I don’t actually know if he was the official class clown, but I know he would’ve been a top contender!

Hi friends! We just shared an update on the gofundme. We hope that you'll take the time to read it. Also, Kim shared a post on her page that I wanted to share here so that everyone could see it.

I've had a few people asking about my brother:

We had a doctor appt yesterday to change some medications. Although, very effective with the severe nerve pain and burning, the nerve medications are the culprits behind the dizzy spells and falling, resulting in further injury. He's not very stable getting around to begin with, but got to where he just could not take the meds. Even tried cutting them in half. So, he's just been suffering. Hoping for better results with the new meds!

Yesterday, we paid the doc copay, scripts, cell phone and health ins. Literally spent the very last dime of the money. We couldn't have made it this far without it, and are truly thankful!! I get sick to my stomach when I think how bad things could have been. We will be leaving the GFM open a little longer for anyone able to help. We've got some things in the works and are hoping to be in a little better shape mid June.

Also still very welcomed are Prayers and companionship. Brad also wouldn't have made it this far without both! 1,000% believe me on that one!

Hey friends! Happy weekend!

Brad, Kim and I hope you're all doing well and set to have a wonderful weekend.

Brad's been in immense pain but he's getting by. Kim is just happy that tax day is over and I'm here trying to remind anyone who's interested that Brad would love to hear from y'all.

If you're able to donate, they desperately need it. The reality of not having a job is starting to kick in and I think they're both concerned about what the next year or so is going to look like.

This picture is Brad's swollen and twisted ankle. It happened when he fell in his home. He wants to be able to get up and do things as normal but, unfortunately, he can't. It's a difficult thing to accept when you're in your 50s and you've done things for yourself your entire life. That said, he did learn a lesson from this and he won't be walking around his home without the wheeled walker he has. They say it's not a mistake if you learned from it and I believe he definitely learned from this one. He said it hurts. It looks like it hurts, I believe him.

Please share the GoFundMe fundraiser and donate if you can. $5 makes a difference. I'm not currently working and I don't have much money to offer anyone but I'm going to donate $5 because it does make a difference. It doesn't sound like much but if everyone donated $5 you would be surprised how quickly it adds up.

Please donate. As you can see from Kim's update, they have encountered one problem after another. Fortunately, they have had the donations to get them through all of these issues but, let's face it, that's not going to last forever and Brad and Kim still very much need financial assistance. If you can donate even $5, it makes a difference. Think about it this way, when you're considering donating, this is the kind of situation that happens completely out of the blue and you cannot prepare for it. It's the kind of thing that might happen to you somewhere down the road. It's the kind of thing that you might find yourself behind a GoFundMe fundraising campaign in hopes that your friends will step up and help you get through life. That's what's going on right now. They need help. Brad's mortgage still needs to be paid. His utilities still have to be paid he still has to buy groceries. He still has to buy those prescriptions which are $240 every time he has to get refills. In other words, they still very much need our help.

They're so grateful and so appreciative of everyone who has helped out. They recognize that the generosity of you all is what's keeping them going financially. Remember, when this happened to Brad, he lost all ability to work. Heck, he can't even walk through his house without falling down and twisting his ankle! He needs our help.

So, on this Friday afternoon, let's start fresh! Let's start donating with the momentum we were donating with on the first day I shared the fundraiser.

Also, we really need you guys to start sharing the GoFundMe link. We need to get the fundraiser in rotation so people can come across it with ease to make donations.

Your help is so greatly appreciated. Trust me when I say Brad and Kim recognize that things wouldn't be as good as they are now were it not for their friends.

It's time that we ask those of you who so graciously have already donated if you can donate again? There haven't been donations in a month and, as you see from Kim's update, they've had so many things go wrong since Brad went into (and out of) the hospital.
