I used to skip workouts because someone needed something. Sound familiar?
Here's what changed for me: I stopped seeing self-care as something I earned after I took care of everyone else. And I started seeing it as the thing that made me capable of taking care of everyone else.
When I move my body โ even 20 minutes โ I'm calmer. More patient. Less reactive at dinner. More present at the sideline.
When I eat real food and drink my water and do the things that fuel me, I'm a better mom, a better friend, a better version of myself.
๐Putting yourself first doesn't mean your people come second. It means you're choosing to show up for them fully instead of running on empty.
โจThat's not selfish. That's the whole point.
Drop a ๐โโ๏ธ if you needed to hear this today.
