Taking a moment to introduce the therapist behind KS Therapy.

Educational background: I earned my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from LSU followed by graduate studies at the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences where l earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. I am certified in Advanced Integrative Dry Needling and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilizations and am licensed to practice by the Louisiana State Physical Therapy Board

Professional background: I have practiced physical therapy for over 15 years spending most of my career in outpatient physical therapy clinics however in recent years I made the switch to home health physical therapy. These settings have allowed the chance to treatment a variety of diagnoses from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, sports injuries, balance re-training, neuromuscular diagnoses, post mastectomy recovery and countless others. I have also had the opportunity to practice KT taping techniques, cupping, and vestibular treatments. In 2018, I was honored to be awarded Northshore's Best Physical Therapist award by Sophistocated Women's Magazine.

Your first visit establishes everything! We will spend the hour focusing on your concerns, pains, desires for treatment including:
-A detailed review of your medical history, current concerns as well as your goals for your treatment
-A hands-on physical exam of the areas of concern to determine and diagnose
-Your treatment plan will be established based on your exam. We will discuss suggestions by the therapist as well as your requests for treatment
-Treatment begins on the first day. This will vary based on your diagnosis, but will include some sort of manual therapy as well as exercise prescription to begin at home
