I am sure my story is not that different from other people who started a small business. My husband has severe arthritis all through his body and in October 2017 we ran out of the herbal salve he used from Germany. I contacted relatives to send some more but it turned out to be rather expensive to ship. Knowing that nothing has worked better for him and myself (my arthritis kicked in when I was on
ly 16), I started to research. How do I make a salve??? A week later, after a lot of research I had some that we could try. Well, whattaya know? It worked! I had other people try and found it helped all of them with various pains. Since then I have discovered propolis, come up with over 20 different infused honeys, cough syrups people swear by, eleven salves, loads of tinctures, infused oils, lotion bars, candles, furniture polish, leather treatment and more. My husband decided we should try to see if my inventions would sell. I wasn’t so sure but him and other friends insisted we had something great here. In order to sell at the local market we had to register a business, which my hubby so graciously took care of for me. My sons helped me come up with a logo, the names for the remedies and, since I love twists on words, RemeBees (remedies from bees) was born. I will keep researching and introducing new and seasonal flavors of honey, new salves and who knows what else is out there that can be made with honey, wax, and propolis. At this point we are blessed to say we work for RemeBees only. We make/store/handle our products with the care you learn about while becoming a master beekeeper – and some German common sense.
