A parent shouldn’t have to become an expert in 6 different systems just to get their child help.
But in Kansas, that's often what happens.
Families are navigating healthcare, waivers, schools, behavioral health, and child welfare—all at the same time.

And no one is trained to help them connect it all.
So they get stuck.
Delays. Denials. Confusion. Burnout.
At KIPHIC, we spend our days working alongside families, providers, and systems to address this.
We help people make sense of what exists—and we are actively building what's missing: a coordinated, statewide approach to care that works in real life.

The truth?
KIPHIC IS DOING THIS WORK right now without funding to sustain or scale it.

We see what’s possible.
And we’re not stopping.
If you believe families deserve better systems and better support, we'd love to connect.

Kansas faces complex behavioral health challenges, especially for youth with high-acuity needs. Adding services or beds isn't enough; systems need workforce capacity, a shared language, and practical tools to provide safe, consistent support.

KIPHIC helps organizations shift from "train and hope" to competency-based, trauma-informed, data-driven, and continuous improvement frameworks applicable across PRTFs, community care, schools, crisis systems, and families. Staff need clear strategies and intervention models tailored to individuals served.

Many Kansans require both mental health and behavioral support, demanding systems that integrate regulation, skill-building, relational safety, behavioral science, and therapy, tailored to each individual's development and context. KIPHIC aims to create practical, sustainable, and measurable supports for human-serving adults and organizations.

Big win for the community right here 👇

We’re excited to share that Johnson County Mental Health Center is partnering with the Go Further Foundation to offer FREE Mental Health First Aid training for 100 community members in 2026.

Mental health challenges often show up in everyday moments, with friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors. Mental Health First Aid gives you the tools to recognize the signs, respond with confidence, and connect someone to the help they need.

Think of it like CPR, but for mental health.

🧠 What you’ll learn:
• How to recognize signs of mental health and substance use challenges
• How to support someone in crisis
• How to connect people to professional help

📅 Four trainings available (April–November)
📍 First session: Saturday, April 18 at Netsmart in Overland Park
💲 Cost: FREE (thanks to Go Further Foundation covering the $50 fee)

Spots are limited, and we expect these to fill quickly.

👉 Register now: https://connect.jocogov.org/gff-adult-mhfa

Let’s build a community that knows how to show up for one another.
