Have you ever felt like you've been stuck in the wilderness?

Lately, Coach LaTisha and I have found ourselves getting hung up on one word: process.

Not because the word was wrong, but because we kept sensing God was inviting us into a deeper understanding of what this season actually is.

Again and again, we received confirmation that whatever your "this" may be—transition, grief, waiting, rebuilding, uncertainty, or becoming—it is part of God's work in your life.

Then the revelation came.

I'm not just in a wilderness. I'm in a renovation.

That shift changed everything.

A renovation doesn't happen because the structure has lost its purpose. It happens because what's inside is being restored, strengthened, repaired, and updated so it can carry what it was always designed to hold.

What if that's what God has been doing all along?

Not abandoning you.

Not delaying you.

Not destroying you.

Renovating you.

The wilderness wasn't punishment. It was the space where God exposed what needed attention, strengthened weak places, removed what no longer belonged, and restored what had always been there beneath the damage.

The goal was never to change your God-given design.

The goal was to prepare you to fully live it.

As I continue praying through this revelation, I can't help but wonder...

What if we've been calling it the wilderness, when Heaven has been calling it renovation all along?
