Before a community meal began, Lily noticed an empty chair near the door. She wanted to solve every need by herself. Schammy pointed to the team list: one person welcomed families, another served water, and another cleaned tables. Lily took a breath, asked permission, and chose one task: walking with a guest to her seat.
Jesus also gave Peter a concrete part: "Feed My sheep" (John 21:15-19). Peter did not purchase forgiveness through service. Christ restored him by grace and sent him to love. The Holy Spirit still gives gifts for the common good; we do not have to fill every role (1 Peter 4:10-11).
Ask today, "Jesus, what is my safe and faithful part?" Then listen to the Holy Spirit, speak with a responsible leader, and serve with consent, boundaries, and community.
