A complete skincare routine includes a cleanse, prep, treat & protect step. Each part has an important & complementary purpose.
✨STEP ONE: Cleanse. Remove dirt, makeup, & environmental pollutants. Remember to always complete your cleanse step by wiping your face with a warm wet washcloth.
✨STEP TWO: Prep/Toner. This is an important step, that many skip. A good toner has ingredients that complement the other steps in your skincare routine. Good toners are like supplements, providing nutrients to your skin. They balance your complexion & prep your skin for your other products to better absorb—making your other products more effective.
✨STEP THREE: Serum/treat. Your serum or treat step has concentrated doses of active ingredients that pe*****te deeper into skin. Different serums have different purposes. You can also layer serums, to accommodate for different skincare needs. Layer thinnest to thickest & remember not to apply by mixing your products.
✨STEP FOUR: Protect/moisturizer. This is another step in your skincare routine that shouldn’t be skipped. Moisturizers are meant to prevent water loss from your skin. Morning moisturizers tend to be lighter & typically protect skin against environmental stressors. Night moisturizers tend to repair damage done during the day & speed cellular turnover. They replenish moisture levels with a thicker texture. If you want to seal in moisture, put a few drops of your favorite face on your fingertips and press in to skin over your moisturizer.
***Eye creams are specifically formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes. They’re also formulated to address different concerns than the ones you may have for your face.
