Some days you’ll feel excited to practice. Other days? Not so much. That’s normal.

Make the barrier to starting ridiculously small.

Mat. Breath. One movement.
See where it takes you.

Maybe you practiced every day in January.
Maybe you haven’t touched your mat in three weeks.
Neither makes you a “good” or “bad” yogi.
Life happens - as a mom of three, I can really relate to life happens. I’ve had periods of months (almost a year) without practicing. It happens.

Your practice can be something you return to—not something you have to be perfect at maintaining.
If you’ve been away, your mat is still here. Maybe it’s just 5 min. How long doesn’t matter; just start.

And if you’d like a little guidance or company, join me this Saturday 10/17 for a vinyasa flow practice at 9am EST. Sign up link in bio. I’d love to see you on the mat 🙏

Today is a special day for me. Exactly one year ago I completed my first teacher training and received my 200HR certification. Since then, I’ve also completed a 300HR certification, taught almost 200 hours of yoga and completed an addition 20CEUs.

It has been a year full of learning, growth and fun. I look forward to the year ahead. My hunger to learn is as strong, if not stronger, than it was last year. Yoga has such a rich history and there is so much more to it than just the postures. I truly enjoy learning all aspects of yoga and integrating into my daily life.

Thank you to all my teachers, mentors, students and family who have guided and supported me along the way. Namaste 🙏

We were so focused that I missed taking actual posture pictures. But we all learned so much and refined our practice. Looking forward to day 2 tomorrow!

The most meaningful part of yoga might happen after class.

In the car.
At work.
During a difficult conversation.
While you’re making dinner.

When you choose to pause instead of push through.
That’s when the practice starts becoming part of your life. It takes time…..and it starts with consistency and mindfulness.

Yoga isn’t a flexibility test.
You don’t have to touch your toes.
You don’t have to know Sanskrit.
You don’t need the perfect leggings, mat, or Instagram-worthy space.

You just need somewhere to begin.
And you can begin exactly where you are.

If you’ve been telling yourself, “I don’t have enough time for yoga,” this is your reminder:

Something is better than nothing.

Five intentional minutes can change the way you enter the rest of your day.

Stop measuring your practice by how long it lasted.
Start noticing how you feel when you’re done.

Save this for the days when an hour feels impossible.
