Bike To School Challenge

Bike To School Challenge Northern Ohio communities and school districts coming together to promote health, wellness and a cleaner environment by getting more kids on bikes!

Our events take place during the first week of May, which is National Bike to School Week! Bike To School Challenge inspires and incentivizes over 4,000 high and middle school students in Bay Village, Rocky River, and Medina, Ohio, to bike to school as much as possible for three weeks each May -- to help the environmnet, improve their health, have fun, and win prizes! Organized by Century Cycles bicycle stores in conjunction with the schools and generously sponsored by Raleigh Bicycles.

Great evening at our inaugural Brunswick Bike Rodeo. Bright sunshine (albeit a chilly sunshine) brought out kids, bikes, parents and sponsors alike! The kids had a fun time riding the trail, picked up some exciting giveaways at the various stops, and won some awesome prizes!

Thanks to our Rodeo presenters, Optimist Club of Brunswick, Eddy's Bike Shop and Brunswick Parks & Recreation Department, as well as our wonderful sponsors, Rotary Club of Brunswick, OH, Trillium Creek Dermatology, Cool Beans Cafe, Donut Land, The Salvation Army, Scene75 and Trek Bicycle.

Additional thanks to our special guests, the Brunswick Public Library, Brunswick Police, the Medina County Sherriff's Office and their ice cream truck, Bike Medina County, Richard DeLombard of the Ohio Wheelman (the High-Wheeler guy) and Bennet Garcia with 'Recycle and Ride Medina'.

And, of course, a huge thanks to all of our volunteers who helped set up for this awesome event!

Just a friendly reminder that our first annual BRUNSWICK BIKE RODEO, presented by the Optimist Club of Brunswick, Eddy's Bike Shop and Brunswick Parks & Recreation Department, will be tonight from 6pm-8pm at North Park in Brunswick. The sun is shining and there's no rain in sight, so parents, bring your kids, and kids, bring your bikes for a fun evening of riding, raffles, food and giveaways! We hope to see you there!!

Heartfelt shout-out to all those who attended our 2026 Medina Bike Rodeo last night. Although the temps were a little chilly, the kids were out in force with huge smiles, warm and bright!

We'd like to thank our presenters, Medina City Schools, Kiwanis Club of Medina and Eddy's Bike Shop, as well as all of our fantastic sponsors, Trek Bicycle, Discount Drug Mart, Cool Beans Cafe, Courthouse Pizzeria, A Cupcake A Day., Serpentini Chevrolet Medina, Allstate, Sweets & Geeks, Mellion Orthodontics- Fairlawn and Medina, Armstrong, and the City of Medina!!

Just a reminder that our Medina and Brunswick Bike Rodeos are coming up this Wednesday and Thursday evening! Although the temps might be slightly chillier, the rain looks like it will stay away! So parents, bring your kids, and kids, bring your bikes for two fun evenings of giveaways, food, and bike riding!  These events are free and open to the community, so if you have a chance, head out to both!

The Medina Bike Rodeo is presented by the Medina City Schools, the Kiwanis Club of Medina and Eddy's Bike Shop.
