🫧 Exciting News from Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center! 🫧

At Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center (BRHC), we're passionate about helping patients heal, recover, and improve their quality of life through the power of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).
Hyperbaric therapy can support healing for a variety of conditions, including:
✅ Non-healing wounds and diabetic ulcers
✅ Radiation injuries
✅ Crush injuries and traumatic wounds
✅ Certain infections
✅ Skin grafts and flaps
✅ And many other approved indications

By delivering 100% oxygen in a pressurized environment, HBOT helps increase oxygen delivery to tissues, promote healing, reduce inflammation, and support the body's natural recovery process.

🎉 And we have even more exciting news! 🎉
Beginning in July, our Rockledge location will be open and ready to serve patients, expanding access to the care and treatment our community deserves. We are thrilled to bring our services to more patients and continue our mission of providing exceptional hyperbaric care throughout Brevard County.
Thank you to our patients, providers, and community partners for your continued trust and support. We can't wait to welcome you to our new Rockledge location!

Had a great time speaking at the St. Louis Wound and Vascular Symposium this past Friday. It was an honor to be surrounded by so many outstanding leaders in wound care and vascular medicine, including Dr. Amy Couch, Dr. Jeff Niezgoda, Bill Tettelbach, and many other dedicated physicians and professionals committed to advancing patient care.
It was also wonderful to see strong representation from the APWCA and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine. The discussions, collaboration, and shared vision for improving outcomes in wound care, vascular medicine, and limb preservation made for an exceptional event.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to such a meaningful symposium. Looking forward to continuing the important work of moving wound care and vascular medicine forward together.

Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) is one of the most challenging late complications of radiation therapy to the head and neck. Radiation can damage blood vessels within the jawbone, reducing oxygen delivery and impairing the body's ability to heal. This can lead to exposed bone, chronic pain, infection, and significant impacts on quality of life.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) plays an important role in the prevention and management of ORN. By delivering 100% oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure, HBOT helps:

✅ Increase oxygen delivery to damaged tissues
✅ Stimulate new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis)
✅ Enhance wound healing and tissue repair
✅ Reduce the risk of complications following dental extractions in previously irradiated patients
✅ Support recovery when used alongside surgical and dental interventions

Early identification of patients at risk for ORN and a multidisciplinary approach involving oncology, oral surgery, dentistry, and hyperbaric medicine can significantly improve outcomes.

As cancer survivorship continues to grow, awareness of ORN prevention and treatment options remains essential. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy continues to be a valuable tool in helping patients heal and maintain their quality of life after radiation treatment.
