Happy Earth Day!

10. Years. Today.

There’s no longer an unfillable hole in my heart, no longer do I feel unknowable, unlovable, nor unworthy. Now, a quarter of my life is spent as a recovered(ing) alcoholic. I think of sobriety as a team sport. I can’t do it alone, nor am I supposed to, and it’s a heckuva lot more fun surrounded by others playing the same game. And, it’s meaningful to teach others how to get on - to coach and play and learn concurrently. So, to my teammates, high fives all around. To the fans, deep bow for the grace you’ve given as I’ve evolved and shapeshifted (and will continue to do), and to the curious and the longing ones, come on in, the water’s fine.
