Bri just finished getting some of the stem cells that were harvested for her bone marrow transplant. I’m praying these little cells do their job and that she starts feeling a little better soon.
The nausea and back pain have been the worst and she has very little energy. The fatigue is overwhelming at times. She hasn’t eaten more than a few bites over the past few weeks because her mouth was so sore. It’s been hard on her both mentally and physically, but she keeps pushing.

Hopefully, she’ll start feeling better soon because we have places to be! Next month we’re going to Dollywood with BlueSkies, she LOVES an amusement park. I need her feeling good enough to eat all the cinnamon bread and ride every scary ride she wants (without me, of course.) So glad bestie/bro is going because she had my head swimming last time we went.

For now we are just taking it one day at a time and praying these cells are the beginning of better days ahead.

It’s been a really tough week, but your sweet surprises has been a bright spot in Bria’s day. Thank you SO much for thinking of her, loving on her by shopping her wish list, and your prayers. Your kindness means more to us than you know. 🥹💕

I have been asked what Bria likes and I wanted to share her Amazon Wish List.
If you’d like to bless Bria, anything from her list would mean so much. And if you’re not able to give, please know that your prayers, love, and encouragement mean just as much.

Thank you for thinking of her. 💛

Before Bria’s diagnosis, childhood cancer was something I knew existed, but never imagined it would become part of my story.
I know what it looks like now. Hospital rooms, the fear, pain, treatments, waiting, and the prayers whispered over her when I would give anything to take her pain.
Every year, thousands of children face this battle. But they are more than statistics. They are someone’s whole world.
So this September, we go gold to bring awareness to the children fighting, the survivors, and the babies whose stories ended way too soon.
Awareness matters because childhood cancer deserves more research. More funding. Better treatments. Less toxicity. More survivors. And ultimately, a cure.

These halls have become a place I never imagined I’d know so well. Y’all see the updates and pics. But you don’t see the moments in between. Like the moments when I walk these halls because I don’t know what else to do. When I’m scared. Or when I’m trying to hold it together because I have to be strong for my baby, when I don’t feel strong at all.
I would give anything to trade places with her. I’d take her pain in a heartbeat.
Please continue to pray for Bria. Pray for her body and mind. Pray for her strength. Pray for this treatment. Pray for healing.

Today was a quiet day for Bria. She started her oral chemotherapy and unfortunately it made her pretty sick. Her continuing to go through this is hard in a way that is difficult to put into words. I would give anything to take this away from her.
Tomorrow she’ll have her port placed, and then Thursday she will receive her MIBG therapy.
MIBG therapy is a targeted form of radiation. The medication is designed to find and destroy cancer cells that take up MIBG. Because the radiation can affect the people around her, I won’t be able to stay in the room with her. I’ll spend most of my time in the parent room, where I’ll be able to see her through a window and talk to her through an intercom system. I’ll only be allowed to enter her room when necessary to give her medications, bring her food, or change her linens. It’s going to be hard not being able to physically comfort her. Hospital stays are always so hard for her.
I’m holding onto hope. I keep praying that this treatment does exactly what it is supposed to do. I’m praying that my girl is healed.
Please keep her in your prayers as we head into these next few days.

It’s starting to feel like deja vu…
Bria is having pain in her back and legs like she had when all of this first started. I’m trying not to let my mind go there, but it’s hard not to worry especially knowing we have to wait another week for her medication to arrive at the hospital.
Please keep my baby girl lifted in prayer. Pray for relief from her pain and that this treatment will be exactly what she needs.

The results of her last scan showed that Bria’s cancer has spread to more places. It is now in parts of her skull, several areas of her spine, some of her ribs, her pelvis, and near her left hip joint. There is still a small area where her original tumor was.
She’s definitely not sitting around sad. She’s smiling, laughing, singing way too loud. Cancer may be part of her story, but she refuses to let it define her.
I can’t quite say the same for myself. It honestly feels so overwhelming. But then I see her, and I’m reminded where hope lives.
I’m so grateful for her sisters. They keep her laughing, lift her spirits, and surround her with love.
