Color coding is cute, but is it functional?

I’m honored to be featured in Good Housekeeping, where I share why I recommend organizing books in a way that makes them easier to find and use.

While color-coded shelves may look beautiful, a functional system is what helps your home support the way you actually live.

Read the full article at the link in my bio, and let me know—which team are you on: organized by color or by category?

Clutter is often a symptom of something deeper.

You may need an organizer because your space no longer supports the way you live. Maybe you are in a life transition. Maybe your schedule is full. Maybe your home has shifted, but the systems have not.

The piles, the duplicate purchases, the items with nowhere to go, and the constant resetting of the same spaces are usually signs that your home needs better systems, not more shame.

In my latest blog post, I’m answering the question: “How do I know if I need an organizer?”

And the answer may be more practical than you think.

Read the full post on the blog and leave a comment. I’d love to have a real discussion and support you where you are.

Send this to a friend who’s been on the fence about hiring the support she needs.

I just celebrated a birthday and that’s as good a reason as any for a pop-up Flash Offer!

The offer: 5-Hour Declutter Session for $495.

This is perfect for someone who needs focused help clearing the excess, making decisions, and creating breathing room — without a full organizing project.

This session includes:
âś…Decluttering
âś…Purging
âś…Sorting
âś…Decision-making support
âś…One donation haul

A few important notes:
✨Only 6 sessions available
✨Indoor spaces only
✨Local clients only
✨Must be used by August 31, 2026
✨Offer expires Monday at midnight

I’m also using this offer as a way to test this as a new service, so if you’ve been wanting support but weren’t quite ready for a full organizing package, this may be a great fit.

If you want in, DM your email address and phone number, and I’ll get an invoice to you by Tuesday morning.

Welcome to Here’s the Truth—a series that unpacks the beliefs, habits, and mindsets that keep people overwhelmed, disorganized, and stuck.

Today’s truth:

You don’t have to do it like they did.

Sometimes clutter isn’t about the stuff. It’s about the beliefs attached to it.

In the words of Iyanla Vanzant “You can do it differently.”

What belief about “stuff” did you inherit growing up?
