The algorithm can't do this.

AI is changing workers' comp, and some of it is genuinely useful. But there's a category of work no tool can replicate: the moment a case manager makes that first phone call and hears something in a worker's voice that doesn't match the medical record. The clinical signal that gets missed when nobody's listening for it.

Our latest article makes the case for what human case management does that technology can't and why that distinction matters more as AI becomes more prevalent.

Workers’ comp is still profitable, but the numbers are shifting.

NCCI’s 2026 State of the Line report shows the industry’s combined ratio ticked up to 91% in 2025, even as claim frequency continued to decline. Medical and indemnity severity are both rising at 4%.

For adjusters and employers, this is the part of the cycle where every claim matters more. When severity is climbing, how a claim is managed from day one has real financial consequences.

That’s exactly where case management earns its value.

This Independence Day, we’re thinking about the people who keep the country running.

The workers building, repairing, delivering, and caring — the ones who show up to physical, demanding jobs so the rest of us can enjoy the day off. When one of them gets hurt, the goal is simple: get them the care they need and back to the life they were living.

Happy Independence Day from all of us at ForzaCare!

Heat is a workplace hazard, not just a forecast.

For workers in construction, agriculture, warehousing, and roadwork, summer brings real risk — heat exhaustion, dehydration, and heat stroke that can turn a routine shift into a medical emergency. And heat rarely acts alone. It compounds existing injuries, slows recovery, and complicates conditions a worker may already be managing.

When a heat-related injury does happen, the response matters. A case manager makes sure the worker gets the right care quickly, monitors for complications that heat can mask, and keeps recovery on track when the weather isn’t cooperating.

This month, stay aware. Hydrate, rest, and look out for one another.

Think...Precision.

NCCI's 2026 State of the Line points to a market where individual claims carry more weight, clinically and financially, than ever before. In that environment, what separates a manageable case from a costly one is usually one thing: early clinical involvement that gets ahead of complexity before it compounds.

That's not a broad approach. That's precision: the right nurse case manager, on the right claim, at the right time.

"Thank you so much for your help on this claim. It was moving slowly and you made all the difference."

This is why we do what we do. When a claim stalls, the right clinical intervention can change everything for the injured worker and for the team managing the claim.

ForzaCare's nurse case managers bring the expertise, consistency, and advocacy to move even the most complex cases forward.

This Father's Day, we're thinking about the dads on the job. The ones who show up every day, in every kind of weather, doing work that keeps our world running. When a workplace injury takes a father off the job, it's never just a workers' comp claim. It's a family feeling the impact. That's why the work of getting injured workers back to health and back to work matters as much as it does.

Happy Father's Day weekend from the ForzaCare team! 💙

Wages are up. Indemnity costs are following. 📈

NCCI's 2026 State of the Line data shows indemnity claim severity rose 4% in 2025 — continuing a multi-year upward trend tied directly to wage growth. The longer a worker stays out, the more indemnity exposure grows.

Faster return to work isn't just a clinical goal. It's a financial one

ForzaCare nurse case managers work to close the gap between injury and recovery by removing barriers, coordinating care, and keeping injured workers moving forward.
