As 1 chapter ends, another begins📖
Never thought I’d be parting ways with the Jeep life, but fluidity is key to growth and she just didn’t fit in the picture anymore.
On to bigger and better in the new adventures to come!

Does the food you eat make you smile? 😁..and I mean a genuine feeling of happiness.
None of that “complete 180° on your preferred lifestyle in the name of weight loss” crap. 💩
Bc if you DONT enjoy the food you eat, it’s only a matter of time before you start to veer from your newly implemented & “bullet proof” nutrition plan.
& if you don’t learn how to navigate on your own, then your nutrition plan becomes useless when you become tired of your assigned foods.
The world of wellness may be simple, but it’s not easy.
Especially when you’re seeing 1,000,000 contradictory points of view that swear everyone else has it wrong.
Spoiler alert: NOBODY IS WRONG!
All the approaches have 1 very important thing in common: the caloric deficit.
This means that you don’t HAVE to hop on Keto, Vegan, Paleo, Jenny Craig, dash, etc - unless you want to.
Theoretically, all you need to do is exactly what you’re doing WHILST staying in a caloric deficit - meaning you’re burning more than you’re consuming on a weekly basis (I like to measure weekly)
Here’s a typical and practical starting point for someone:
1. ESTABLISH YOUR DEFICIT
If you prefer your food to be less nutrient dense (You know - the candy, soda, simple carb life), you will quickly learn (from experience) how calorie dense these foods are while only marginally satisfying your hunger. Bummer right?! 😭
So what next?
2. ENTER: FRUITS, VEGGIES, EGGS, MEATS N’ TATERS! 😋😜
Not only do these foods tend to pack more of a punch and keep you fuller for longer, but you can eat plenty more of them since they’re not as calorie dense.
BUT WAIT! ✋ There’s another added benefit: THEYRE MORE NUTRIENT DENSE!
You see where this is going, right?
If someone were to just tell you what to do, it wouldn’t be as effective or valuable as you learning from experience. Sometimes we have to touch the hot pan to KNOW that it’s hot and if you look at your journey this way, it will be that much more effective & lasting for you.

Sorry I’ve been MIA from posting lately. I’ve actually been practicing what I preach to my clients: SELF CARE ☺️
Stressful times like these more often than not require you to unplug rather than plug farther in - as counterproductive as this may sound.
We oftentimes get caught up in the rat race and tend to forget that the answers you’re looking for are a lot easier to find without all the distractions 🤪
This applies to everything, btw. YOU know so much more than YOU think. It’s actually scientifically proven that your subconscious mind holds much more information than the conscious mind can fathom - meaning you truly have all the answers.
The caveat: you need to learn how to get out of your own way & put your conscious mind on standby 😴 to access your intuition.
Not only can you improve mood & overall quality of life, but you actually PRIME your body hormonally & neurologically to receive the maximum benefit from any HEALTH JOURNEY you decide to embark upon - no matter the goal or the perceived setback!
You truly are in the drivers seat and the creator of your reality. Once this control is recognized & established, the sky is the limit 🚀

Mindset will make or break the achievement and sustainment of any goal.
It will alter your perception - for better or worse.
It will either allow fears and limiting beliefs to take the wheel or kick them to the curb.
There IS no absolute.
You are the result of what you place your attention on.

Don’t let anyone ever make you feel rushed.
Nobody is ever sharing their failures and when they do end up sharing any type of struggle it’s always after they’ve come out the other end.
Though inspiring, it can be difficult to truly relate to their perspective when you yourself are still feeling stuck in the trenches.
The second you stop comparing yourself to everyone else who seems as though they were an overnight success is the second you find your own unique rhythm and eliminate virtually all external pressures - accepting the process as it continues to unfold.
Guess what happens next? You finally begin to ENJOY YOURSELF 🙌
Live your life at your pace and in your own way.
Trust your inner guidance enough to know when it’s time to break the feedback loop you’re in.
Life is meant to be lived. Not endured.
Oh yeah, and be sure to re-rack your weights 😜

BE GRATEFUL FOR THE DOWNTIME
The majority of my life was spent trying to force the outcome. To push for something that I’m not necessarily even in alignment with - working around the clock for a material goal only to stress out even more when it inevitably didn’t go the way I had intended it to.
It wasn’t until the beginning of this year where I was forced to literally stop and smell the roses on a whole new level that I started to feel the magic.
There IS action in inaction, though for those who are still on that hamster wheel, I might sound like I’ve gone cuckoo 🤪
It’s the moments of stillness that allow us to align with the things that truly serve us down to our very core.
Without stillness, many of us tend to lose touch with ourselves and lose sight of the things that have the ability to reignite our fire.
We all owe it to ourselves to slow down every now and then. To realign with our passion. To awaken hopes and dreams which we thought had been laid to rest after childhood.
Thank you, 2020, for giving me perspective 🙏

He lacked balance ⚖️
He lacked consistency
He didn’t realize it at the time, but lacked respect for his mind, spirit and body
Then one day it clicked. He wasn’t a victim of his reality. It was actually the other way around.
His reality was a result of his thoughts and feelings.
It’s the little things, repeated consistently and stacked onto each other gradually that make lasting change.
Once every action you take is out of respect for yourself 1st and foremost, the rest falls into place.
Remember that you can’t have others drink from your cup if your own cup is empty.

‼️CHANGE YOUR DEFINITION OF FEAR‼️

Next time you’re experiencing fear, ask yourself:

“What sorts of things would I need to believe in order to be afraid of this right now?”

“What sorts of things would I need to believe for the exact opposite to be true?”

To recognize failure is to recognize opportunity.

I don’t see many adults waddling around, hitting their heads and falling on their asses like most toddlers do...
..Then again, I don’t see many innocent minded toddlers crippling their own progress by not getting it right the 1st time😆

Whether subconscious or not, learning what NOT to do is an opportunity to GROW & OVERCOME. It allows us to then re-approach the same scenario with new knowledge & from a different perspective.

When the stories we tell ourselves get in the way of what we truly want and more often than not, NEED, it’s time to change the story

Don’t fear failure. Fear being in the exact same place next year as you are today💪
