SERV305 is a Leadership Miami 44 cohort that is working to support 305 Pink Pack's The Power of Hair Program to provide Black, Latin, and Asian women experiencing radiation induced alopecia with high-quality wigs and other related services.

Many woman experiencing cancer treatment say that wearing a wig makes them feel better about themselves, gives them hope, and helps them feel empowered on their journey.

Did you know that Black, Latin, and Asian women in need of medical wigs have the most trouble just trying to feel like themselves? That’s because few wig options were made with them in mind. We aim to change that!

Support THE POWER OF HAIR, which is a non-profit fundraiser with a goal to source, subsidize, and create a database for medical wigs for Black, Latin, and Asian women who are experiencing cancer/radiation related alopecia.

Awareness surrounding breast cancer is incredibly important as early detection, often through screening, can catch the disease when it is most treatable.

We think that finding wigs for women experiencing cancer treatment should be EMPOWERING, not stressful.

For many Black, Latin, and Asian women in our community, finding a high quality medical wig that makes them feel like themselves has been nearly impossible.

That’s why we have teamed up with local nonprofit to locally source, subsidize, and create a database for these wig styles!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗 here are some FACTS:

• Adult women of all ages are encouraged to perform breast self-exams at least once a month. Johns Hopkins Medical center states,

“Forty percent of diagnosed breast cancers are detected by women who feel a lump, so establishing a regular breast self-exam is very important.”

• While mammograms can help you to detect cancer before you can feel a lump, breast self-exams help a person to be familiar with how their breasts look and feel so a healthcare professional can be alerted if there are any changes.
