🚽 What to know about delayed urination after surgery.

This can be common in early recovery due to anesthesia, pain medication, and IV fluids.

While anesthesia and pain medications temporarily slow bladder function, surgical IV fluids continue filling your system faster than usual. This is why tracking your timeline post-op is so important for a safe recovery.

If you are unable to urinate several hours after surgery or experience pressure or discomfort in the lower abdomen, contact your surgeon or care team for guidance.

Always follow your discharge instructions, as every recovery is different.

I just wanted to be very clear for all my clients safety and other patients (prescription medications) like Lovenox cannot be shared, sold, or reused outside of the original patient they are prescribed for.

This medication is prescribed by individual weight-specific and if used incorrectly can be dangerous. Remember not every patient is prescribed this medication.

I would strongly recommend speaking directly with your surgeon, pharmacy tech or doctor for proper guidance and disposal of any extra medication you didn’t used.

My last advice to everyone please only follow your surgeon instructions exactly as prescribed for your own medication and individual safety.
