Virtual Functional Flow with Sybil is now held on Thursdays at 6:30pm.

This class combines mobility work with yoga postures for a challenging practice. Remember, it is important to vary the ways you move to keep all of your tissues healthy!

Food for Thought:

Anything that you train or practice the same way every time will provide stimulus to the same tissues every time, putting unused tissues at a deficit. The obvious example is almost any sport. But think about how you squat in the gym or in the yoga studio, the same foot placement and depth every time?

Try it: Explore various setups in your postures so more tissues get stimulated on a regular basis - vary stride length, hand placement etc. Also, different instructors often set up poses in different ways. Stop thinking of one way as “the right way” and please, for the love of yoga, try the instructor’s suggestions before deciding you already know the best way to do something!
