What happens during an Aromatherapy consultation?
A consultation begins with a conversation. Medical history, medication (over the counter and prescriptions) are discussed. The aromatherapist signs a confidentiality agreement with the client. Medical information is important because essential oils are concentrated chemical compounds and need to have their interactions checked before recommending a product. The reason for the consultation is discussed, and then essential oils are recommended, the dilution if necessary, and how it is administered. The common methods of administration are via inhalation, a roller ball, or lotion stick. Oral dosing is not done at this practice. Included in the consultation fee is a follow-up appointment which is done about one month after receiving the product. Detailed information is provided with the product and please ensure that your health care provider is given this information.

What happens at a Reiki Session?
A Jikiden Reiki session is either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. Regardless of duration, the client will either lie or sit on a massage table on their back with a light cover and a Japanese towel on the head. The practitioner will enquire about any physical or mental concerns they wish to share. This gives the practitioner areas to focus on during the treatment. The treatment consists of gentle, soothing music and the laying of hands to direct energy on the client over the clothes. At no time does the practitioner touch the client directly. Toward the end of the session, the client is asked to turn over if able or sit up on the table. A systematic process which consists of gentle touching is done to complete the session. Upon completion of the session, the client should feel relaxed and restored.
