Feeling a shift in your energy lately? 🌞

As the days become warmer and lighter, Ayurveda recognizes this as a time of transition.

You might explore gentle awareness around:

- Daily rhythms (sleep + wake cycles)
- Time spent outdoors
- Noticing how your digestion responds to seasonal changes

This isn’t about doing more—it’s about noticing what’s already changing.

🌱 Awareness creates connection.

As spring shifts into summer, Ayurveda describes nature moving from heavy + damp qualities toward increasing heat and sharpness.

This seasonal transition is a beautiful time to gently lighten the diet while also preparing the body for warmer weather.

Some simple Ayurvedic swaps for May:
• warm herbal tea instead of iced drinks
• stewed fruit instead of cold sugary breakfasts
• lighter cooking fats like ghee
• digestive spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, and clove
• more seasonal, freshly cooked foods

In Ayurveda, seasonal living (Ritucharya) helps support digestion, energy, and balance throughout the year. Small adjustments often make the biggest difference. 🌿

These recommendations were inspired by the following Ayurvedic resources for seasonal eating and lifestyle exploration:
• The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies by Vasant Lad
• Ayurveda: The Science of Self-Healing by Vasant Lad
• The Yoga of Herbs by David Frawley and Vasant Lad

Spring is shifting… are you noticing it in your body? 🌿

As May begins to unfold, we begin transitioning from the cool, damp qualities of early spring into warmer, lighter days.

In Ayurveda, this seasonal shift can influence digestion, energy levels, and daily rhythms.

You may notice:
- Changes in appetite
- Increased sensitivity to heat
- Shifts in energy or motivation

This time of year invites awareness—not urgency.

🌱 Observing these patterns can help you better understand your own rhythms as the seasons change.

🌿 Spring Ayurveda Tips 🌿

As spring continues to unfold, Ayurveda recognizes this as a time of seasonal transition — often bringing qualities of heaviness, coolness, and moisture.

You may notice shifts in energy, digestion, or daily rhythm… this is your body responding to the season.

Here are a few simple ways to support yourself:

✨ Start your day a little earlier to align with the lighter energy of the season
✨ Choose warm, light, and easy-to-digest meals
✨ Incorporate gentle movement like walking or yoga
✨ Sip warm water or herbal tea throughout the day
✨ Open windows and create space — both in your home and your routine

Rather than forcing change, Ayurveda invites awareness — noticing what your body is asking for and responding with small, supportive shifts.

🌿 What is one thing you’ve been noticing this season?

🌿 Meet the People Behind AAW 🌿

Have you ever wondered who makes up the Ayurveda Association of Wisconsin — and why they chose to be part of this community?

We asked our board members a simple question:

✨ Why did you join AAW?
And what came through was something we hear again and again…
A desire for connection.
A place to grow.
A shared passion for Ayurveda and the impact it can have on people’s lives.

Each story is different — but they all point back to the same thing:
🌿 community
🌿 support
🌿 and a deeper purpose behind this work

Take a moment to read through their responses.
And if you’ve been feeling called to connect with others on a similar path… this might be your sign.
