The first confirmed reports of morels for Minnesota in 2026 are in Ramsey, Wright, and Olmsted counties. The lorchels are also confirmed in Hennepin county. Lorchels are the name for the edible "false morels", in this case, Gyromitra korfii and Gyromitra brunnea.

Whether you're looking for morels or lorchels, remember to spend some time giving back to the land you harvest from. Bring along a bag to harvest trash. Spend 20 minutes pulling up invasive species, like garlic mustard, buckthorn, greater celandine, squill, and others. And work to plant native species in that same footprint.

Hi y’all, you may or may not be watching the news these past weeks and you may or may not have seen that the Federal Government has declared war on our little city of Minneapolis, MN. Despite our friends and neighbors being murdered, shot, tortured, questioned and belittled—we sadly have to keep working. What does owning a small business even mean with a full fascist government? It’s hard to say. We barely know how to keep going. And my apologies if I’m not mincing my words with this—I’m soaked in rage for my fellow citizens. I’m angry that my hard earned money gets paid to a government that has created a Neo N**i Army. And quite frankly, I’ve feel pretty naive to think that we’re better than this. If you’re seeing extreme footage of us on the news it’s US fighting back, our COMMUNITY because no one is helping us. Not our police, not our politicians, just US. A cowardly man shot a mother three times in the face, called her a stupid bitch and got in his car and drove away. This is the world we are living in. And I don’t stand for it. Nor does my business. I’m here to tell you who I am as a person, an ANTI FASCIST / radical activist / herbalist / feminist / homesteader who believes in science / empathy / community and love. A lot of you, who work with me, already know this, but it bears repeating RIGHT NOW. Please keep our small city in your thoughts and hope for the best for our poor country. Best, Lulu
