🌟 Meet Our Pediatric Occupational Therapist! 🌟

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of the Play Better Health family, Kiran Hansberry! 💙

With a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Diego (Class of 2015), she brings years of experience working with children in schools, outpatient clinics, and early intervention settings.

What makes her approach special? She takes the time to understand how all areas of a child’s development work together. From fine motor skills ✏️ and gross motor skills 🏃 to sensory processing 🧩 and physical development, she looks at the bigger picture to identify each child’s strengths, challenges, and unique needs so therapy can be as effective and meaningful as possible.

As a mom of two, she understands firsthand how important it is for families to feel supported throughout their child’s therapy journey. That’s why she takes a family-centered approach, partnering with parents every step of the way. ❤️

When she’s not helping children reach their goals, she’s spending time with her family and their dog 🐶. As part of a military family, they’ve had the opportunity to call many places home, including California, Florida, Virginia, and now Tennessee!

She is passionate about helping children thrive and is excited to meet and support the amazing families we serve.

A lot of families think OT is just about "getting kids ready for school," but it's so much more than that. Occupational therapy helps kiddos develop the skills they need for daily life—from fine motor control (writing, buttoning, holding a fork) to sensory processing and coordination.
