🌿 HELLO & WELCOME — I’D LIKE TO INTRODUCE MYSELF!
To all of our new Facebook followers, welcome! My name is Dr. Keith R. Barbour, and I am excited to introduce myself and share a new chapter in the care we provide here in Monroe.
I am a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician and have spent more than 40 years working with patients and exploring ways to help the body function, recover and heal. I graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983 and went on to build my career in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, pain management and hands-on manual medicine.
Teaching has also been an important part of my career. For more than 20 years, I have taught Wholistic Manual Medicine to healthcare professionals, sharing a whole-person, hands-on approach that considers the relationship between the body's structure and function.
🌱 NOW, I'M EXCITED TO INTRODUCE SOMETHING NEW!
We have opened our new Wholistic Regenerative Therapies department inside Rehabilitation Spec Of Monroe.
This department allows us to expand upon the principles that have guided my work for decades while incorporating newer therapeutic technologies and approaches. Our goal is simple: look beyond symptoms, consider the whole person, and help each patient work toward better function, mobility and quality of life.
Our growing regenerative therapy services include Shockwave Therapy, Infrared/Red Light Therapy, Vagus Nerve Stimulation, Wholistic Manual Medicine, B12 injections and personalized regenerative therapy programs. Not every therapy is appropriate for every patient, which is why we focus on individualized care.
I have watched many treatment modalities come and go throughout my career, and I am excited to continue learning, evolving and bringing additional options to the Monroe community. Our new department represents another step forward in that mission. The opening of the department and several of its therapeutic modalities were recently featured in The Monroe News.
